Age: 25
Current project: Niagara, Niagara, for which her portrayal of a woman who suffers from Tourette’s syndrome won the Best Actress Award at last year’s Venice Film Festival.
How she felt when she won: ” It was like being one of the Beatles for a day. I was speechless, and for me that’s rare.”
First lead role in a film: a teen-age witch in the 1996 cult hit The Craft.
Her beauty secret: “I’m a firm believer in curling the outer three eyelashes. Anything more and you look like a kewpie doll.”
Her workout routine: “I go to the gym four times a week. I do Pilates, run on treadmill and take a body-sculpting class with a really mean teacher who makes fun of you if you can’t do it.”
What she loves: “Clothes. Fashion is really one of my pleasures in life.”
Shopping tip: “If you’re going to spend a lot of money on something, buy it in black.”
How she accessorized the wedding dress she wore to marry Bob Gosse, the director of Niagara, Niagara: “I wore a tiara. Because you can’t really get away with wearing one any other time in your life.”
